Plastic laminate toilet partitions provide beautiful appearance with tremendous flexibility. Plastic laminate requires minimal care, coupled with low initial cost. The material is a smooth-surfaced high-pressure decorative laminate bonded to a 45 lb density resin-infused particleboard core. Bonding the edges and all components prior to face lamination ensures optimum water runoff, durability, and inhibits deterioration. The finish is available in many designer colors and wood grain textures to appeal to any decorating taste, and will resist any cosmetic damage. The laminate surface is stain and impact-resistant, lightweight, and easily maintained. The plastic laminate appearance and material is an attractive, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective solution.

  Construction Features

  • Plastic laminate material consists of smooth-surfaced high-pressure decorative laminate on the exterior.

  • Doors and panels are nominal 1″ (7/8″), pilasters 1-1/4″.
  • All internal edges and components are bonded prior to full face lamination.

Construction Features

PLASTIC LAMINATE MATERIAL

High-pressure decorative laminate over three-ply core, resin impregnated, 45-pound density particle board. Edge laminates are applied before face laminates.

BOTTOM GRAVITY HINGE

Bottom of the door features a unique "no rise" self-closing adjustable cam. Hardware is constructed of zamac die cast metal.

DOOR STOP/SURFACE LATCH

The door stop consists of a wrap-around strike and keeper and the door lock is an aluminum (bright/polished finish) surface slide latch. (Image shown on solid plastic material).

Bright dipped aluminum headrail to match chrome hardware for a coordinated uniform appearance. The top is pointed, resulting in an “anti-grip” top structure to prevent hanging from the partition.

U BRACKETS

Pilasters are connected to the panels with U brackets, providing a structurally strong and tight connection. Hardware is constructed of zamac die cast metal.

PIN INSERT

Top of the door features a heavy duty 3/8" diameter chrome plated pin with nylon insert for smooth operation. Hardware is constructed of zamac die cast metal.

PILASTER SHOE

Each pilaster has a 3” high #4 finish stainless steel plinth (shoe) beautifully connecting the bottom of the pilaster to the floor, aesthetically hiding the floor mountings and any visible drill holes. (Image shown on solid plastic material).

PRIVACY STRIPS

Heavy duty aluminum privacy strips eliminate any sight gaps on each side of the door. One strip on the latch side acts as a continuous door stop, while the other is positioned between the upper and lower hinge, eliminating any chance of “peeking” into the stalls. JUMBO PACKAGING

Metpar is now offering an extremely heavy-duty jumbo shipping carton. Some people refer to it as “The Beast”. This carton has a full top lid, bottom tray, thick top and bottom walls, and 4 sidewalls for full 360-degree coverage. The exterior construction consists of ½ inch thick triple wall corrugated cardboard, and up to 1 – ½ inch thick around top and bottom walls and all corners. Easy to deconstruct and cardboard walls are lightweight and recyclable. If you want indestructible, you and the freight carrier terminals have met your match!

FT MOUNTS ON FP PILASTERS

If you’re looking for a heavier duty floor mounted on Overhead Braced (FP) partitions, you can upgrade to heavier duty floor mounted (FT) partition floor mounts. This provides a more sturdy and heavier duty mounting option for extra base/structural stability and support.

STAINLESS STEEL HARDWARE

All hardware is available in #4 brushed stainless steel for an extra durable appearance & even longer-lasting product lifetime. This material is heavy duty and will not rust.

MULTI-CAM HINGE

A full height (bottom of door to top of door) stainless steel MultiCam hinge is available to eliminate any gaps on the hinge side of each partition door for ultimate privacy. (Image shown on phenolic material).
